Aleksi Komulainen started as a part-time legal trainee at the FAI. Komulainen is a fourth-year law student at the University of Turku. In addition to his other studies, he is currently participating in the Vis Moot, one of the biggest and most prestigious moot court competitions in the world.
At the FAI, Komulainen will first participate in developing the FAI data system. In addition to that, he will assist in case management, communications, organisation of events and various research tasks at the institute.
“For a mootie, a traineeship at the FAI is a true dream job. It offers me a unique chance to see how arbitration works in real life and how an arbitration institute contributes to the procedure. I’m looking forward to learning a lot and getting to know the arbitration community better”, Komulainen says.
The FAI Secretary General, Santtu Turunen, welcomes Aleksi Komulainen to the Institute.
”We are very happy to have Aleksi join the FAI team. With the Vis Moot experience, I am sure that Aleksi is not only motivated to develop his dispute resolution skills but also already has the basic arbitration knowledge. That helps in the daily work but also allows Aleksi to get the most out of the experience”, Turunen says.
