Applications are now open for the Arbitration Academy, organised jointly by the Finland Arbitration Institute and the Finnish Arbitration Association. The programme will take place on 11-12 December 2026 at Hobo Hotel, Helsinki, and will be held in Finnish.

The Arbitration Academy is designed for lawyers preparing for their first arbitrator appointments, including practising lawyers, in-house counsel, academics and judges. The two-day programme consists of seven modules covering independence and impartiality, case management, evidence, interim measures, decision-making and award drafting, setting aside of awards, and FAI practices. It also features a fireside chat with Mika Savola.
The programme admits 25-30 participants. The application deadline is 12 November 2026.
