The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration (“Vis Moot”) and the Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot (“Vis East Moot”) are two of the world’s largest and most prestigious moot court competitions, focusing on international commercial law and arbitration. Each year, these competitions draw participation from hundreds of law faculties and thousands of law students and legal professionals, including attorneys, academics, arbitrators, and in-house lawyers from across the globe.
The Arbitration Rules of the Finland Chamber of Commerce, i.e. the FAI Arbitration Rules, have been selected as the applicable rules for both the 32nd Vis Moot and the 22nd Vis East Moot, which commenced on 11 October 2024. This milestone reflects the Finland Arbitration Institute’s commitment to supporting the study and practice of international commercial arbitration, which has the power to foster international trade and cooperation.
Information about events hosted by the Finland Arbitration Institute in connection with the Vis Moot and Vis East Moot, as well as its partners, pre-moots supported by the Finland Arbitration Institute, and supplementary materials related to the Problem, can be found in the respective subsections.
