The Finland Arbitration Institute (FAI) has updated the Mediation Rules of the Finland Chamber of Commerce (FAI Mediation Rules) as of 15 June 2024.
Following the revision of the Arbitration Rules of the Finland Chamber of Commerce (FAI Arbitration Rules) in January 2024, it became necessary to update the FAI Mediation Rules to ensure accuracy and coherence.
This update ensures that all references to the FAI Arbitration Rules in the FAI Mediation Rules are accurate and up to date.
Additionally, the Finnish language version of the FAI Mediation Rules now adopts the same gender-neutral terminology for arbitration-related terms as the FAI Arbitration Rules. The English language version of the FAI Mediation Rules did not require similar updates.
The updated FAI Mediation Rules apply to all FAI Mediations commenced on or after 15 June 2024, unless otherwise agreed by the parties.
