Applications are now open for the FAI/FAA Arbitration Masterclass – Nordic Arbitration Edition, to be held on 13–14 March 2026 at Hanaholmen, Helsinki. Building on the success of the inaugural 2024 edition, the programme brings together experienced arbitration practitioners from across the Nordic region and beyond.
The FAI/FAA Arbitration Masterclass is an advanced, interactive programme for experienced arbitration practitioners. Led by renowned arbitration specialists from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland, it offers participants a unique forum to exchange perspectives, test approaches, and refine arbitral practice against the backdrop of the Nordic arbitration tradition.
The programme consists of four modules focusing on key stages of arbitral proceedings, covering independence and impartiality, case management, the taking and evaluation of evidence, and decision-making. Each module is designed to encourage open dialogue and comparative discussion among peers.
In addition, the Masterclass features a fireside chat with a distinguished Nordic arbitration leader, sharing reflections on her career, professional insights, and lessons learned from decades in international practice.
The event takes place at Hanaholmen, a seaside cultural and conference centre just outside Helsinki, known for its Nordic design, art, and tranquil surroundings. The setting offers space for informal conversation and quiet thought, creating an ideal environment for building lasting professional relationships.
Participants will receive an FAI/FAA Certificate of Participation upon completion.
